When do I need full finger cycling gloves?

Below about 15 degrees. The trigger is control rather than comfort: cold fingers lose the fine motor control you need for braking and shifting well before they feel painful. A light full finger glove covers 10 to 16 degrees, a windproof winter glove covers 4 to 12, and below 4 degrees a lobster or split finger design keeps fingers sharing heat.

Why do my hands go numb even in padded gloves?

Usually because the padding is too thick. A thick gel pad concentrates pressure on a smaller area of the palm and presses harder on the ulnar nerve. Thin, well placed foam over the ulnar channel works better on long rides. Changing hand position regularly and checking your bar height and reach matter at least as much as the glove does.

How should cycling gloves fit?

Snug, with no bunched fabric across the palm. Folds are what create pressure points and blisters. Measure across your knuckles rather than working from your usual glove size, and check the brand chart on the product page. Italian brands run smaller than Australian sizing, typically by one size.

Can I try this on before buying?

Yes. Our Adelaide showroom at 122 Pirie Street carries most of our range and staff can fit you properly. Sizing across Italian and Australian brands varies enough that this is worth the trip if you are new to a brand.

How long does delivery take?

Orders start processing within one working day of your payment clearing. Australian orders of $100 or more ship free, and worldwide orders of $190 or more ship free. Express Post within Australia is $19.95, and orders placed before 4pm ACST go out the same day and typically arrive in 1 to 3 days. Helmets and shoes carry a shipping surcharge and are excluded from free shipping.
