MAAP cycling apparel: Melbourne design for road and gravel

MAAP was founded in Melbourne in 2014 by Oliver Cousins and Jarrad Smith, who brought two decades of fashion-industry design experience into a cycling apparel market that, at the time, was dominated by long-established European brands. That fashion background is still the clearest thing that sets MAAP apart: bolder colourways and silhouettes than the traditional racewear look, without dropping the technical performance side.

What we stock

Our MAAP range includes jerseys like the Blur Pro Air, bibs including the Team Bib Evo, the Atmos Vest, base layers for cold-weather layering, arm and leg warmers, winter gloves (Control Winter Glove), several sock ranges (Division, Emerge Team, Evolve and Level), and MAAP's own water bottles (Alt_Road and Core), with new seasonal drops added regularly.

Sustainability

MAAP has been public about prioritising more sustainable materials and manufacturing processes across the range, and about partnering with other brands it rates rather than trying to build everything in-house.

Layering note

MAAP's fits run close to the body in the European racing tradition, so if you're between the sizes on their chart, most riders size up rather than down, particularly for jerseys you'll wear over a base layer in cooler weather.
