POC cycling helmets and protective gear: what makes them different

POC was founded in 2004 in Saltsjöbaden, Sweden, with a single stated purpose: reduce the consequences of accidents for cyclists and other athletes. Everything the brand makes is built around that idea first, with performance and design treated as equally important but secondary constraints, not the other way around.

Safety backed by research, not just marketing

POC's in-house Tech & Research team works alongside an external Advisory Board that includes specialists in spinal cord injury, head trauma and traffic research. That's the reasoning behind features like MIPS rotational-impact protection appearing across most of the range, rather than being reserved for a flagship model.

The helmet range we carry

Our POC helmet range includes the Ventral Air MIPS Air Node (POC's lightweight, high-ventilation road helmet), the Axion Race MIPS, the Omne Air MIPS Air Node (an all-rounder aimed at commuting and everyday road riding), and the Cularis for mountain biking, plus whatever new models POC brings out.

Beyond helmets

POC also makes protective apparel and gloves. Our range includes the Resistance Enduro Adjustable Glove and Index Air Adjustable Glove for MTB and gravel, women's-specific MTB shorts, and the Supreme Rain Jacket, alongside other POC pieces we bring in as they're released.

Sizing

POC helmets use European head-circumference sizing; measure around your head about a centimetre above your eyebrows and check it against the size chart on each product page before you buy, since shell sizes vary between models.

We stock POC across Helmets, Gloves and mountain bike gear. A shipping surcharge applies to helmet orders. Our Adelaide showroom carries a range of POC helmets if you'd like to check fit in person.
