Ciovita cycling apparel: designed and made in Cape Town

Ciovita was founded in 2015 in Woodstock, Cape Town, South Africa, by Andrew Gold, who brought 17 years of technical outdoor-apparel experience, including gear developed for Everest expeditions, into cycling kit design. The name blends the Latin cio (to move) with the Italian vita (life). Unusually for a brand its size, Ciovita designs, prints and manufactures in-house at its own Cape Town facility rather than outsourcing production, and its partnership with the Absa Cape Epic mountain bike stage race has helped take the brand into Europe.

Our Ciovita range includes bib shorts (Cargo, Corsa 2.0, Apex Jacquard, Supremo Thermo, including the Supremo Thermo Cargo Bib Tight), jackets and gilets (Apex Polartec, Strada, Vale Merino, Cirro Windproof, Apex Contego 2.0, Apex Scope, Faro Reflective), long-sleeve thermal jerseys, crew and high-top socks, winter gloves, ear warmers, and hydrophobic arm, knee and leg warmers, plus shoe and toe covers, with new pieces added as Ciovita releases them.
